I just joined the group.  Looking forward to learning a lot.
One question---when you submit manuscripts, should they be single spaced; double-spaced; or it makes no difference.

I had been reading that they should be double-spaced?

Thanks for any feedback.

Welcome aboard. Wikipedia says that you should double space. I'd say that you should read submission guidelines before you send to a publisher, and do as Wiki says when something isn't stated.

Welcome to My Writers Circle Owen. As thatollie recommended, always check the publisher's and agent's guidelines. It can make a world of difference in your submission actually getting read.

Welcome, Owen!

So you've finished your first manuscript? That's great :)

Welcome to the forum, Owen!  I've read that manuscripts should be sent to publishers/agent double spaced but here on MWC it's totally OK for it to be single spaced  :)

Welcome aboard, Owen. Most publishers want double Times Roman 12, but it helps to always check their guidelines. Here and there you'll find one that wants a completely different layout. Some don't even want indented paragraphs.
