So many to choose from
« on: December 01, 2011, 02:18:58 PM »
I've been browsing the self publishing sites, and I'm not sure which one is best.

There are a lot of places that offer self publishing for various prices, but I'm trying to see If anyone has any advice on which one I should choose.

If this is about your ebook, have you looked into Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing or Barnes and Noble's Pubit?

Oops. Guess that should have been in response to your other post. :)

After doing some research I've realized it may be better to do my 21000 word novella as an ebook and do it myself.

Does anyone have any advice on where I should go for that

As far as paper, there's a lesson at Publetariat on crunching numbers, to help when comparing companies: http://www.publetariat.com/publish/crunching-numbers-how-its-possible-sell-every-copy-your-self-published-book-and-still-lose-m

I haven't really done a lot of research to look at other places to publish, at least the Publishing On Demand Company
that I am working with (Lulu) does seem to work, since I have seen payments comming in from them when I had Sales.

Currently publishing in ebook format, but will look at print again sometime soon. I will probably use Lulu this time, as the last company I went with went bust.

Try the suggestions on this resource page...
