Forbidden Love
« on: August 17, 2006, 12:13:20 PM »
Meet me ‘neath the ebony dome
Our torch is the eye of the night.
Behind an ol’ city of Death’s home
I wait in silence for thy light.
It brings bright joy where dwelt dark pain
To my heart that I gave to you
In secrecy, for I am fain
To shield us from the hateful few.

My love for thee will aye endure;
No storms or winds could it strain.
No black Temptress will ever lure
Our Gold, with impure alloy stain.

I lay in your glade, my branded fiend
No others do I see.
Amidst a forest of lustrous green
I choose thy crooked tree.
Thy roots are ever snarled
Sweet sap within is mortal’s bane.
Black boughs above are gnarled;
Yet grows the verdure as it rains.

My love for thee will aye endure;
No storms or winds could it strain.
No black Temptress will ever lure
Our Gold, with impure alloy stain.

My love is thy Celestial Star
It shines in thy red skies.
So it burns throughout your day
And e’er ‘til that dies,
For once again, you are the night
That They will always fear.
They fail to see thine even light
Or venture pass the Bigot’s mere.
