You might've noticed...
« on: September 16, 2011, 04:58:34 AM »
...or you might not have, that my profile says 'Hero Member' due to the number of posts I have to my name. That might make you wonder why I am introducing myself on the welcome board.
Most of you might also have noticed that you haven't a clue who I am.
And some others of you might have noticed that you haven't noticed me around here for a good long while.

Then again, you might not...

OK, so my name's Ken, and I was very active on MWC around 2008 and maybe 2009 for a while. I have one self published novel to my name, and I am planning to reissue it this year with a sequel.
There also might be a pirate book coming out too (and Ma, considering how long you waited for that one, I'll give you your own copy transcribed in letters of fire on tablets of stone.)

I am married with two young children and a cat, and I guess they along with my job, have taken up most of my time recently. Not that I'm complaining. Family's the best and I'll never complain about being in paid employment. That would be just downright stupid.
I've still managed to keep writing though, with a half finished YA novel on the go and a few short stories which I have been entering into competitons. No wins yet, but one highly commended, which is fine by me.

Well, that's me. I hope to see a few old friends here and make some new ones.

Cheers,
Ken :)

Welcome back, Ken.   See ya in the neighborhood.  :)

Welcome back.  Yes, there'll be a lot on here who've never heard of you.

What was the name again...?  ;-)

Quite a few have left as well, and some have changed their names.  But Bones still serves a good pint and anything you want to eat in the bar.

Thanks Gyppo, nice to hear from you.

I'll be down in the bar later for that pint, and a packet of salted peanuts...

Welcome back, Ken!  We don't know each other as I only joined in December!

Thanks Fire-Fly, that was nice of you to be thinking of me. Only good thoughts I hope? :)

Amanda, thank you for saying hello. Well, we might not have known each other, but now we have been introduced we'll hopefully get to know each other a bit better. Nice to meet you. :)

Good to meet you!  That darn real life stuff does sometimes get in the way of MWC time, doesn't it?

Thanks 510bhan, you know for a moment there I thought it was my birthday again! And at my age that's not necessarily a good thing! ;)

And thank you 'comeonpowerball' (great name BTW.) Yep, real life has a habit of intruding on the digital one, doesn't it? God forbid though that it ever gets to be the other way round!

Cheers,
Ken :)
