Flash fiction 32
« on: August 27, 2011, 01:02:46 PM »
Some of the greatest stories I have read all contained memorable opening lines, fantastic middles and brilliant endings.

Flash challenge is to create a great story with one catch - you have four sentences. No padding allowed. Let's see how you all cope with economy. It will help you think about and hone your sharpening skills. Let every word count.

Closing date for entries is midnight (GMT) 3rd September 2011. One entry per person sent by pm to me.

Looking forward to the entries. All the best.

I protest . . . this is blatantly against those of us who write with no idea of tautology, the concept of precision or succinct phrasing as a means to convey an idea to their audience. It is singularly anti-verbose and goes against the very principles of waffling and ganching upon which many of us rely in order to make a page look as if it contains mountains of meaningful words and therefore TERRIBLY IMPORTANT. :o

Well, I have two practical questions.  ;D

1. Does the entry need to have a title?
2. What's the Subject for the PM?

Why didn't you just pass it on to a moderator to complete?

Or extend the time, not shorten it?

Ah well, at least one extra entry missed!

Good luck to those that did enter.

A week wasn't long enough to write four sentences? :)
