I have two modes of reading Matt, one for critique and the other to enjoy. I wouldn't have noticed the typo if it jumped off the screen and slapped me in the face mate. ;)

I noticed:

He actually welcome me into his home, and said, “Can I make you a cup of tea?”

Still enjoyed it though. ;D

Good little tale.  Nice characterisation.  You made a great job of 'trickling in' the loan shark's growing unease as he realises Kevin isn't 'normal'.

Sio, I missed that one! Oh dear! When you've read something so many times I think you must start to subconsciously correct the mistakes as you go!

And, thanks Gyppo!

Hi Matt - really enjoyed the story but was praying the dog didn't get it - then he did. But I got over that! Good to see a really bad guy redeeming himself in the end!!! Excellent stuff.

Thanks Chrissie,

Yes, the dog getting beaten to death was kinda gruesome, wasn't it!
