Thoughts On The Death Of Myra Hindley Nov 2002
« on: July 22, 2006, 10:24:52 AM »

She has short-circuited revenge and escaped the laws might
On the moor her trophy’s lie in bleakest day and bleaker night
The anger of the bereaved at her early death can never be tamed
As she throws the last laugh at the young lives she has claimed
The world’s streets are full of unsympathetic and callous chatter
About the woman whose death to no one alive seems to matter
“Let her rot”, they cry, “Let her go to hell”, the populace decree
Not for her the kindly prayers in the house of God on bended knee
Even in her popular death she commands world headline news
Though it’s not for her death that the majority would choose
Maybe in the next world she will serve out the rest of her time
In a manner best fitting a punishment for her heinous crime
