Something I'd also suggest is to check in regularly at blogs run by professionals, more so editors and agents than authors (althought some authors know a heck of a lot or they wouldn't be successful).

Uh-huh, although neither of those blogs really have many tips... and the Harrison blog is kinda confusing actually. Maybe I should have posted Pohl's blog.

 :D  I took the photo, but it's my friend's hands. He's such a big guy, he almost didn't fit behind it.
