Today was sunny, as usual, blue sky, not a cloud in sight. Rather cool, though, but it's normal for this time of year: 26c. (about 82F) in the shade. Just comfy. I don't mean to be a pain in the b . . .  Somehow, I feel like the black sheep.

I had to work in the house today, so I hardly saw it. It's good that I looked at this post; it made me go outside to check and feel the air. I took a little vitamin D through my rather pale skin at the same time.

Klian loves it, been in the garden........arms outstretched and mouth open trying to catch the flakes. Now ehere did I put my cross country skis? somewhere in the cellar, ah well lets take a look.

:) V - I do love the big flakes, when you can feel their individual impacts, hear them hit the window.  I'm chased a few down, running in circles like a madman, tongue outstretched, mouth agape.  Sure it might have been beyond my age of maturity, but screw those others' eyes. :)

Glad she had fun.  I've only cross-skied twice I believe (snow-shoed a lot) but my feet almost refused to stay on those slivers of wood, and whats with those tiny shoes, geez, no warmth at all :(

It's too cold to send the kids to school so I left them in bed.

There's a little bit of snow left, and it's COLD. Here in Missouri all I can say is that winter sucks.

We woke up to a dusting of snow on the cars this morning here in Hattisburg Mississippi.
Desert-Boy still isn't use to anything under 70 degrees yet and the white stuff is way outside of protocol.

 ;D Stoke up the fire!!!

It has snowed in Norfolk, mostly west of where I am.

We had a very light dusting of snow today.  As we came out of the supermarket one solitary little flake landed on the sleeve of my daughter's fleece jacket.  Against the dark background it stood out beautifully until it melted several seconds later.  A perfect little star, no more an eighth of an inch across.

We stood there like two mesmerised children until it turned into a damp spot on the fabric.  A few moments of beauty on a fairly dull and overcast day.

Gunna be hot here in downtown Oz.

43' expected, already 30' so we may bust the butt outta that one I feel.

Had a good sized fire in the middle of town yesterday but the choppers put paid to it, didn't have to drag one hose.  ;D

Are these flying water carriers, Firefly?

Here's Hampshire Fire & Rescue Services somewhat smaller 'copter.

About three feet in length it can deliver live feed video and thermal imaging information to the operator as it hovers above and alongside fires.  Very useful for finding hotspots in big fires apparently and can be used to direct hoses when the men on the ground can't see too well due to really thick smoke.

It can fly in winds up to 60 mph.

Useful for finding missing/lost children as well, because they tend to look up to see what's buzzing around.

Cheaper and more versatile than some of the multi-rotor drones the manufacturers try to sell to the Fire service.

Left click to enlarge.
