After a warm mid-20s weekend, we in North West UK are in the chills and showers again. I can't wait to get to Greece next month. Limnisa writers retreat - yeay.

Sounds like a nice adventure, Geoff :)

We are suppose to get T-storms today. Nature showing us how it's done.

Cooler and windy.  Not a good day for lighting a fire unless it calms down by evening.
My website is currently having a holiday, but will return like the $6,000,000 man.  Bigger, stronger, etc.

It's a little over 90 F right now and we haven't reached the hottest part of the day yet. The slight breeze makes it a tad more comfortable than it would be without it.

The birds don't seem to be bothered one way or another. They really like their new 'diner' and I'll have to be adding more seeds soon.  ;D

Birds never seem fazed by the weather, thought they will take a siesta in the middle of a hot day. Glad they are liking your new feeder, they are entertaining aren't they? Worth the price of the seed (sort of)  ;D

A beautiful clear sunny day but it is winter.

Bitterly cold and windy, grrrrr.

It must be nearly Spring.

Still melting here. And I haven't seen the pair of blue jays at our bird feeder for a few days either! Just cardinals and sparrows.

I got a great spotted woodpecker in my garden yesterday shortly after a huge rainstorm with larger than normal hailstones.

Time, 5:21 AM.  Dead calm.  Cool,  slightly misty.  Pollen count, fairly high according to my nose-ometer ;-)

Oh boy am I sick of rain. Still it is winter and not really cold here, so time to turn on the heater (just to feel cosy) and sit at that damn keyboard and write...

Dry and Hot - 100 F.

Good news is, the road crew said they hope to have the black top down by the weekend.

That only gives them two more days, so we'll see.  ???

'Nose-ometer' :)

Thankfully the pollen count is rather low here today it seems, according to my own nose-ometer. So hard to believe that August is already here.
