Gloomy and overcast as usual. They say the cold weather is coming, we would appreciate the hot stuff before that.

Sunny, with a duck-egg blue haze.
My website is currently having a holiday, but will return like the $6,000,000 man.  Bigger, stronger, etc.

In the meantime, why not take pity on a starving author and visit my book sales page at http://stores.lulu.com/gyppo1

Still sunny and duck-egg.

This is getting scary.  A bit like groundhog day ;-)

Totally, fantastically beautiful -- clear blue skies, sunshine, temp around 20 degrees, no wind -- I'd happily accept this as summer weather! ;D

If it never got any hotter than this I'd be comfortable.

I strolled around to the shops today wearing one of my old short sleeved Postie shirts.  (And jeans, for the benefit of anyone who may be feeling pedantic enough to look for holes in the previous sentence.)

Big deal, you may think.  But I'm not normally a fan of short sleeved shirts.  Proper sleeves, rolled up, block two of the places where a wasp or bee can fly inside your shirt, get trapped, panic, and sting you.  These things are important if you suffer from severe allergic reactions ;-(

However, I have several of these shirts left over and it occurred to me that I could dye them, so I'll never get accused of impersonating a postman,[1] and get some real use from them.

Some will be black, and if any smart kid spots the almost hidden Royal Mail logo on the pocket flap I'll tell him I'm a Night Postie.  If someone older queries it I'll tell them it's the uniform of Royal Mail's Canine Reprisal Unit (The Dog Killers)

Or maybe I'll tie-dye one or two in bright colours and say I'm part of the HPS (Hippy Postal Service).

Maybe there's something to look forward to this Summer after all ;-)

[1]  Some of my former workmates accused me of this whilst I was employed by Royal Mail.

We have another beautiful clear Autumn day here. So used to the rain I have to re think the day each time I wake.  :D

I might paint today.  :o

The builder quoted to replace the roof on the house, we will have that done next week. That will be all the big jobs over so it might as well happen while the rain stays hidden.

Did you decide to go for the loft conversion, or just a replacement roof?

S'lovely here in Holland.  Wall to wall blue sky and all the daffodils are out in the bulb fields.  Tulips due within a couple a weeks.

Glad the clock went forward, my life is much better now!
