Warmer today than the windy, chilling I experienced yesterday while out and about.

With the current 52 F currently and lack of strong winds, I can deal with the gray sky and the bit of rain that woke me this morning.

Anyone heard from Don or is he trapped in the NE blizzard that buried so much of NY and NJ? I didn't hear of it burying Connecticut, but you never know. Those little tiny states are all so close together.

Most of Queensland is under water here. Some pics on the below link.

Our weather where I am is never hot as Oz should be. I hope they are ok up there, whole towns are being evacuated at the moment, its really sad.  :'(

Those pictures look like when the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers flood. Scary stuff.

Grey, still.  With a lingering mist which has - appropriately - lingered all day long.  It rained for a while and when we left Sis's house to come home the street was like the setting for one of Don's detective tales, or a spy film.  The road was slick and the rain was pock-marking the surface like spent shot falling onto a lake.  All it needed was a man in a belted trench coat loitering under the solitary working street lamp.

OMG! After heavy rain and gale-force winds yesterday, we had a beautiful, warm, calm, sunny day today!!! And another forecast for tomorrow! Two days of summer to keep us from going crazy and falling into dispair!

Showers forecast for Friday, but I think I'll have one of my little chats with the weather gods to see if we can sort things out....  ;D

Not quite tropical South Carolina is 29' right now which wouldn't be bad in C but it is in F. We are supposed to get up into the mid-50s this afternoon. It is calm and will eventually be sunny. Right now, it is still dark.

Still misty.  Enough that it once again looks as if the damned Pikeys have stolen and scrapped the Pylon down the road again. The seemingly unsupported power cables however are just about visible directly opposite.

Cold enough to shut the window once I climbed out from under the warmth of my duvet.

The last of the snow has finally gone from the rooftops opposite.  It was really lingering there on the empty bungalows with no heat escaping to aid the thaw.  Last night's rain probably shifted it.  I noticed the police chopper flying along the row a few times when they were still snowy, probably using their thermal imager to check for a nice snug cannabis factory or two.  They nearly always find some when it snows.

It's positively red hot here, the sun is shining, the palm trees are blowing in the breeze, I'm drinking a 'Sex on the Beach'. I just love those cocktails don't you darling?

Where am I?

ANSWER ...
In the house watering the houseplants with the central heating on full blast and a smattering of snow outside and a sherry in my hand.  - Dream on folks.

Gray on gray - sorry, but my sky is suppose to be blue, almost any shade of blue would be preferable.  Still, I shouldn't complain, it's 61 F right now, will probably warm a little more as the day moves on.

The best thing of all to my way of thinking, there has been no sighting of either snow or ice so far. I hope it stays that way for this winter at least.  ;)

Its fine and sunny, bordering on hot 26'C. Its really lovely so I have no complaints for a change.

BUT, poor Queensland, they are being hammered relentlessly with floods. They have had to evacuate whole towns and many by helicopter. News reports are saying that some of those towns will never be habitable again which displaces hundreds of people.

Another great day today! Don't know the official temp, but it felt like at least the mid-20s C (high-70s F). I got sunburnt - when applying my sunscreen, I missed a bit on my back, misjudging the lines of my top! Also a bit burnt on one side of my face! (DK how that happened!)

Just played with the kids and did a bit of gardening today (had to protect the strawberries from the birds - and small children - by putting netting up). Found out the blow-up paddling pool had holes in it, so my partner went out and bought a new one, and the kids had a great time splashing around in it.  :D

Grey, again.  But it's a lighter grey and the mist has become bored and wandered off to annoy someone else.
