Rain....
Tomorrow . . . Rain.
The next 24 weeks. . . Rain.
I guess we're the rainy city for a reason =P

Slushy.  The roads are mostly clear.  Well, at least clear enough that the office workers are using are road as a 'rat run' to cut off a corner and avoid two sets of traffic lights.  It's been nice and quiet during the icy spell.

There is a general feel of 'thaw' in the air today, although the contractors aren't back at work yet.  The General Foreman was in, wandering around looking glum.  Probably thinking about penalty clauses and missed deadlines.  They've lost a lot of working days this year due to bad weather.

I'm sad to say the contractor's safety-kitted snowman is no more.  Maybe the high-Vis vest was too warm for him   Whether he just collapsed or if he was helped on his way by some empty-headed soul-dead little git I don't know.  All that's left now is the very bottom part of him, the feet as it were.  The rain may have seriously weakened him

I went out this morning to see if he was still stood on the wall, and there he was - gone.

I'm so glad I braved the weather and went out to take the pictures when I could.  If the contractor's 'resident liaison officer' is in her office tomorrow I'll ask if she'd like a copy to use in their newsletter.

Low 70sF all week. It was in the 80s last week.

Ah, Tucson Arizona (desert southwest USA), how I love your weather :)

Yay! Sunshine here today - finally! The incessant rain has at last paused - enough to dry some washing and get the lawn mowed - and to lift our spirits - but it is forecast to be showery again tomorrow (though presumably still warm = 20-odd deg C).

But Christmas Day, it seems, will be a day when sunscreen is required. Thank goodness! Summer as it should be!  :D

We were at 71'F yesterday. I actually got overheated on my walk.

I love Arizona winters, but I've visited there in the summer, too. It's so hot that if you don't walk quickly enough, your shoes start to melt and merge with the asphalt, holding you in place until you roast to death and become one of those saguaro cacti.

You must have visited Phoenix ;)

The nice thing about Tucson is that it cools down at night (in the 70s or 80s F in the summer) whereas it's common for Phoenix to be in the low to high 90s at night (even at midnight!!!)

I was staying in Phoenix, but we visited Tuscon (during the day) and I can remember being both hot and dry. I live right next to an ocean and the desert humidity, or lack thereof, was a problem for me.

It has been a beautiful day today, although I wasn't out much in it. Dick played golf and had a great time. Perfect weather for that.

Cold.  But a nice crispy cold until the sun went down and the wind got up.  It was what Gran used to call a lazy wind, the sort that goes through you rather than taking the long way around ;-)
