Just seen a few clips.  Do I seem like the kind of person who could sit through a whole game of football?

I think the clip with the girl player trying to break the other one's neck was something you sent me ;-)  She looked so innocent both before and immediately after the pull.

I remember when English football used to have a proper off-season and the football pools people used Aussie football results to fill the gap.  Some of the team names were real tongue-twisters for we stiff-tongued monolingual Brits.

So are you guys talking soccer stuff or is there some other type of sport? Is it like rugby?

Why are people touching each other in soccer?

Nope but I will watch cricket and horse jumping if I really have to.

I would rather stick pins in my nipples then watch sport, am I odd? Hang on, don't answer that >:D

Drawing pins or dressmaker's pins?

How can we form a meaningful opinion on your level of oddness if we don't have all the salient information?

Sport is for doing, not watching.  When I saw that they were televising darts matches I very nearly lost my last shreds of faith in human nature.

Wouldn't safety pins be better?

Nothing safe about 'safety' pins.  Haven't you ever been impaled by a kid kicking at just the wrong moment when fixing a nappy?  One of the joys of parenting denied to the modern disposable generation.

I hated the whole washing diapers things, but my kids always broke out in a rash if I used disposable.

Did you know it is easier to get that pin through cloth if you run it through your hair first? It worked. Sorta greased the pin or something. Pro Tip: Make sure the pin is clean first.

Yep, the only way to get them to work through all that thick cloth.

Do you think it would have looked bizarre to passers by?

I remember changing a lot of nappies on trains.  Who's going to be the first to think that trains don't normally wear nappies?  We just spent a lot of time on trains when the girls were younger and they never seemed to wait until we were in a station or somewhere like that.

I've seen women doing that pin in the hair bit bit never realised why.  I used to lick the damn things to make them slip through the layers.  I figured a bit of their own Dad's spit wouldn't  do any harm if I accidentally stuck one of the little darlings.   (After all, it's family germs and all that.) Don't think I ever stabbed any of them, but I stabbed myself a few times.

We once had a pack of nappy pins which were so blunt they were dangerous.  I sharpened them up using the little stone I used for fish-hooks.  After that they were a treat to use, but my wife kept stabbing herself because she couldn't accept how easily they slid through.

I always had my own fingers behind them and stabbed myself a bit as well. Did you do that too?
