Patience
Jeff Olson
Patience can see over the horizon.
Patience is persistence
Without the tension.
Patience is happy, not resigned.
Patience has heard the >tick<
And knows the >tock< will follow.
Patience is interested in the >tock<
And listens with a twinkle,
Not of anticipation nor excitement,
But the buzz
of being part
of everything,
Interconnected;
Part of the very fabric.

it is cool to write from the heart - it terms of poetry we can all write what we like and call it poetry. For me this was a jumble of themes - time, patience, part of a greater scheme - but they did not flow well together - each them taken separately would be cool or given a verse each and linked very cleverly - that said all poetry is cool and means most to it's writer - not it's reader in my opinion.

Jeff,
I like your poem, and I guess right now I need to have some patience in my life and this just hit a nerve, so thanks...
I love this:
Patience has heard the >tick<
And knows the >tock< will follow
