« on: July 07, 2006, 08:45:40 AM »
Excuse my lacking of knowledge on these matter, please. I write yet have never really understood the details; which is poetry and which is prose. And which is most appropriate here ? Both?
Let me know and i'll start posting if my stuff is relevant.

OK - rough guide - prose is writing like books, short stories, articles, reviews.  Poetry is the stuff in short lines that can rhyme, or be 'blank verse' (no rhyme).

Put some of your stuff up on the site and see what kind of comments you get - this will help guide you in understanding your natural style as well I'm sure.  Everyone on the site is very helpful I've found.

Cheers

I know what i like and i write what i wirite, yet have forgotten the technical details.Someone had given to me the impression, along life's road, that my rhyming stuff was not substance poetry was made of.So i have been unsure to post herre.

Sunny summer's saturday evening now so all will have to wait till tomorrow.

There's loads of different forms of poetry too - blank verse, sonnet, haiku, rhyming, funny, sad, deep, completely insane - you name it.

Just write what you feel happy with and don't worry.

Cheers
Carrie
