Sex:  Female-

I was twelve in January 1980 -- that sort of straddles the 70s and the 80s

Favourite foods-....  Aubergine Parmigiana, green beans with sour cream, steak

Favourite drinks-  Orange Julius, Yoo Hoo

Hollywood crush- .... I don't think I had one.  I was obsessed with Paul McCartney when I was twelve, even though it wasn't my era.  I even had a picture of him in the centre of my dial ring (we had dial phones back then ;) )

Favourite song: ...  ooo, ooo, this is really dredging...  at 12...  that's 26 years ago for me...  I can't remember.  If we discount any Beatles songs (all of which were my favourite), it might have been "Mr Blue" by ELO.  Or "The Crunge" by Led Zeppelin.  Or (much to my embarrassment) "You Light Up My Life" by Debbie Boone.

Favourite smell-: No idea.  Steaks frying?  Garlic?  Chlorine?

Favourite past time: Swimming.  Reading.  Playing with paper clips.  Drawing.

Favourite toy/teddy: Rubik's cube?

Anything else you found deeply significant in a positive light: there were no positive lights when I was 12 :) -- oh, my sister was pretty cool.  I guess that was a positive light :)

"You do not need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen, simply wait, be quiet still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet." - Kafka

Nina, we didn't live so far apart back then. Yes, I am a hippie at  heart too. Sometimes I get on my soap box about the 60s when people cared about losing their consitutional rights and changing the government. I'm afraid the masses are sleeping as I see rights being taken away slowly but surely. This isn't the place for politics, I don't think...but the 60s will always live in my heart with a wish that our people would stand up and be accounted for once again.

(Has anyone noticed the ratio of men to women answering these question?  I think it says something...)

Here goes:

...Femaile

...70's

...Pizza - from Gloria Pizzeria in Flushing, Queens.

...Coke, ginger ale

...Hollywood crushes  ??? Can't remember any but I loved Clint Eastwood movies.  My older brother use to sneak me into the movies with him.

...Any song by The Jackson 5 (when Michael was still black)

...L'air Du Temps perfume (I used my Christmas money to buy a teeny, tiny bottle)

...Favorite past-time:  Reading, going to the movies and watching baseball (Shea Stadium where the Mets played was 3 miles from my house.)

...Toy?  Too old at twelve for toys but I had a record player that my aunt and uncle gave me for my brithday.  It got lots of use.

"So which decade do you come from". Is somebody watching this site? Two authors have now produced three books, basically answering the same or similar questions as Georgette  has asked in her thread, to help people identify which decade was their heyday (sixties, seventies or eighties).
