Shutter Island - Scorsese is the man.
I second that!
Right now I'm watching Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train.

Cats and Dogs 2
- with my 4-year-old boy
Such is my life now. I won't provide a review (!), but my boy loved it and talked about it for days afterwards.
I'd love to go and see a grown-up movie - or even a DVD. Soon, maybe!

A Bridge Too Far. That was a long, long, time ago. I don.t think that I can say that I have actually "missed anything," since then.

I have a hard time with anything dealing with abuse, but the movie, I thought, was well done.

If you like African Queen, the movie I watched just a few days ago 'White Hunter Black Heart (Clint Eastwood - actor/director) is a good one. It is about the director who made it, well a movie about him and his eccentric ways

'The Box', with Frank Langella. The film's been around awhile (2000, I think): we rented the DVD from LoveFilm. Creepy, but thoughtful, and excellent of use of music to heighten mood.
Recommended.

"Songs From the Second Floor",
film by Roy Andersson ( you've probably seen adverts produced/directed by him without knowing him)
Short preview trailer :

There are more "clips" from the movie in the righthand side bar at website, but whole film is always best.
Based on the poems of Caesar Vallejo, for you poetry interested folk.
