Hello there
« on: August 18, 2010, 11:14:28 AM »
 ;)
Hello, everyone! I' glad to be here to make friends and to discuss and talk together with you all.

My name is Eric Chen, coming from Harbin, China. I like writing and reading very much. Also I'm a designer. I have designed more than 40 books and many logos and covers.

I'm very happy to find this forum, so that I can make new friends and talk about writing and reading together. Well, of course, I can seek some working oppotunities at the same time. If someone want to publish his or her own book with an excellent design of the book layout and covers, PLEASE leave a message or email me. I think I will charge much cheaper than some of the foreign designers. My email is ericdesign57@gmail.com.

So, I'm looking forward your reply.

All best.

Eric Chen

I'm all over the place. SF, Fantasy, Horror, Detective Fiction, Mainstream, Slipstream, Steampunk, Cyberpunk, Thrillers, Historicals and Literary Fiction. My collection has a life of it's own. Several lives, probably.

I am trying to read more literary fiction, which I read a little. Could you recommend some good books to me?

Yip, I love to write. Mostly horror, but I like anything with suspense in it.
This month I've decided to read a bunch of new online stories. Just to check
what publishers are looking for at the moment. Read some really nice stuff.
Only problem is I keep forgetting where I read them.  :D

Depends what you're after, and I may recommend stuff you've already read. Seeing how you like Historicals and Detective fiction. A literary novel that'd suit you is The Secret History by Donna Tartt, have you read it?
