Flash Fiction Competition 19

Upon a very quiet, and unnoticed, return to MWC I decided to enter the 18th flash fiction competition. ‘Lo and behold’, to my disappointment, I won the honour of setting the 19th flash fiction competition. For those of you that don’t know the score it is to write a complete story in 250 words (near enough).

PM me with your entry and I'll post them anonymously so that people can vote without fear or favour.

As this happened upon my ‘return’ that shall be the theme for this competition;

This challenge is to write about a return, for example the return of a library book, the return of a loved one, the return of a nightmare or a lost item. Let your imagination run riot.

                     So here goes nothing

1. The theme is Return
2. PM your entries to me.
3. Closing date will be Sunday Friday 18th June 2010
4. It needs a beginning, a middle and an end
5. Word count will be 250 (give or take)

Last competition had two entries and only five voters, as a newbie I was very disappointed in the turn out and was wondering if there really is anyone out there.

In the dark blue tool bar on MWC opening page - click on Messages. On the left hand side, click New Message.

Fill in the screen name of the person you wish to PM; the subject matter; enter your message and click Post.

Or you can click on the light blue 'speak box' below the member's screen name on one of their post and it will take you directly to the PM section with the blank message already loaded with their screen name.

ahh, thanks again.  i thought it might.  logical.
now that i'm thinking about it, it didn't seem right to just write on site and submit without doing some thinking and  rewriting.  ah well.

This was my first try at flash fiction, and a nice change from my usual writing.  Thanks for the challenge (and ma, for the reminder:).
