New to writing
« on: May 22, 2010, 09:11:11 AM »
One of my assignments is to join a writing circle, either real or virtual. I live in a very small town in Texas, so virtual it is. I have always enjoyed reading and as a young girl would write short stories about anything and everything. When I had my children this all went away. Now they are grown and moved on, and I have a renewed reason to write. A very dear friend, that was loved by many, passed away a few months ago and I, somewhat, volunteered to try and write his story or memoir. He had a lot of sayings that we all love. I look forward to visiting this circle and hopefully give opinions if needed or wanted, but mainly receive it also.
I like it when it's like this, and it"s like this right now

Great, thank you. A little nervous about this whole process, but excited at the same time.

no need to be nervous. just relax and spend some time in the bar getting to know people.

Welcome to MyWritersCircle Robin. I grew up in a small town in Texas and have lived in a few since then, so I know what you mean about certain things not being available, such as a writer's circle. But I think you've hit the jack-pot by coming here.

We have a few guidelines that we would appreciate if you take a moment to check  out. Just click the link below.

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.0

You'll find some Blue stick-pin (Stickies) at the top of each of the various topic boards to help you learn the ropes.

Please browse around and check out the areas you find interesting. If you have a problem finding a particular topic, try the Search button, it comes in handy. If you still have a problem, feel free to PM a moderator, we're happy to help.

If you review other people's work before posting some of your own for critiques or reviews, you'll find other more likely to read and reciprocate with suggestions, critiques and/or reviews.

The moderators are easy to spot due to all the blue stars floating above our heads. Any time you have a problem, we are happy to help in any way we can.

Smiles,
