Good Friday poem
« on: March 21, 2008, 06:38:34 AM »
The quiet man

He stood
Before judges;
Those who knew truth,
Yet ignorant of its meaning.

They stood
Before him;
He was the truth,
And we can know its meaning.

i'd put a comma after truth in both stanzas.
Since 1970 John's published 2 novels, 18 books of poetry, and had more than 1,300 poems published in mags around the world.   His new book, (his 20TH) called CAN'T STOP NOW! is available here:

Hi, Midnightcandle,
     What a blessing this poem is!  I agree with the small edit that John has suggested;  I can't think of any other change I would make.  :)
      Thank you so much for sharing this lovely poem.  May the Lord bless you as you celebrate Easter, the day Jesus won the victory over satan (I won't capitalize that slime's name) and death!  Hallelujah!
