A point of View

For those of you concerned about which p o v  to use.  We did this exercise at the week end during a tutorial.   Write a story in first person based on a gift someone has given you.  Write only the first few paras.  Then write it again from the POV of the person who gave it to you.

This is a very good exercise for when you worry about using pov.  It will show you what to write from the other person's viewpoint.

Now write the story in third person including the thoughts and feelings from both characters.  See how it improves your viewpoint characters.
