2 days and 8 hours left, actually.  enough to hash out one or finish the one that's been lingering on your desk.  still 8, the number in.  that would be .... 2/8/8

Often it's pretty obvious.  Think basic style, and look for any recurring quirks ...  :)

I used to work at a legal services office called DNA, located on the largest Indian reservation in the country.  I'd been there about four years, handling large cases and small, doing pretty well for myself I thought.  Imagine my surprise when my boss, a big burly man and very fine lawyer, strode down the hall one day and said, loudly, "Eric, this is the last case you will handle at DNA."  He handed me a case file, and laughed!

Turns out a "last" is a machine for shoe making and shoe repair, roughly the size of a medium sized kitchen, and the case was a dispute between two shoemakers over a certain last.  I mean, that was their last dispute.

And tomorrow is our last day for you to get your poems to me for this comp!  Don't forget to remember!

this be the "last" day, the final day that is, and you have until one second to midnight London time to get yours in.  We have 9 delightful entries and at least one more expected.  Do your thing peoples!
