The location of the Museum is gold isn't it. We spent half the day there and had lunch in the restaurant, very nice indeed.

I think we don't leave home till around 3rd of June so we won't be there in May at all worst luck, it sounds like it would be bloody ace.

Didn't make it to the Hunter Valley but when we do will let you know!   And yes, the museum is brilliant - we used to have breakfast there every Saturday.

I never thought of the breakfast idea but I will go there now for sure. Only a couple of months to go and we are on the road.

Will you be tenting at all? In Litchfield Park there's a little known place you can camp (so little known I can't remember the name of it) beside large rock pools. One tent per pool and they are about 1/2k apart. You chalk your name on the blackboard at the bottom rock pool. Absolutely no ameneties, though.  If you're not camping the walk to the upper pools is great, take your togs and cool off.

Nearby there's a restaurant that makes delicious mango cheese cake.

We loooove Litchfield and will go there for sure and did see a campsite there but not as you described. We are tenting and vanning this time round mate. Going to the Kimberly as well. Wanna do the Darwin croc swim, have you seen that yet?

No, haven't seen the croc swim - fact this is the first time I've heard of it. Is that salties or freshies?

Salties mate, but its not as dangerous as it sounds for sure.

Phew! I thought for a moment you had really gone troppo. I couldn't find an address on the site you posted and am wondering if it's in Mitchell Street - the backpacker's haven.  I remember when we were in Darwin a crocodile facility was being built on the roof in Mitchell St. Brilliant from a business point of view.
