In the USA, "or not" is a slang for "Maybe yes, maybe no." put into a single word it would be: "Indecision."

Writing this lets me know that it is too much of an American-ism to be used in writing.  ;D

Well, I ain't sure about it being a lesson haha. I'm a learner and a student not a teacher, but I'm glad to share something of use and express my opinions to an extent where they make sense.  ;D
