Dang >:(  But thanks for letting me in on how you sussed it.

I didn't say he was wrong, though, I was just trying to spin it out after Chord aka Mr Smartypants got the right answer in about 5 mins.

I'm not a savvy enough geek to think of things like that, but I'm taking notes. Uniqueness = gift to google.

But you probably noticed in the process that t.a.t.u. lyrics are uniquely complex and insightful, especially for pop songs. That's why they don't translate - the English and Russian versions are different. Your average inane pop lyrics instantly translate word-for-word into 30+ different languages.

So, it wasn't quite so easy to confound you all with vagueness. That's my excuse, anyway ;D

Maybe because of this?  In the last few lines of the song.

"Like a game of pick-up sticks, played by f*****g lunatics."

It was the line I fed into Google, assuming it would be a unique line.

First clue was actually the cover of the Smith's 'how soon is now' - it was a bit weird, what with the 'I am the son and the heir' line, but surprisingly good. Many other things confirmed it, including the line gyppo mentioned and the reference to their biggest hit 'All the things she said' at the bottom. All told, I just listen to WAY too much music. :)

With a fat friend there is no such thing as a see-saw, only catapults.

Not only that, you recall lyrics from 2003, when Smiths fans were still speaking to me. But Morrisey said he liked that version better than his.

With you around, we'll just have to raise the bar, or bar you from playing ;D
