thanks for any help
yours,
absolutely clueless
(i have to send a submission in RTF and my feeling is that it is no more than the default format of an attached Word document. But then again I may be wrong)

i was wrong
but now i've found out
you go to save as and then select it.
i also found out that rich text format is a blah de blah blah formatting blah encode blah blah properties blah

Don't worry about what it is, just save it as that
Sometimes my Word automatically saves it as RTF when I have alot of pictures and graphs.
