Editor Jennifer's Contests for Nanowrimo Participants

Just a head's up about Nanowrimo related contests running through November on the Editor Jennifer website:

Week One: Best First Line Contest - because that might be the only thing we've written so far. Prize: Getting Into Character, by Brandilyn Collins. Contest opens Nov. 1, 2009, Deadline 11:59 pm Pacific time Nov. 6, 2009, Winner announced Nov. 7, 2009.

Week Two: Best Character Intro Contest - send me the three paragraphs during which a character first appears in your novel (750 word limit). Prize: Self-Editing for Fiction Writers, by Renni Brown and Dave King. Contest opens Nov. 8, 2009, Deadline 11:59 pm Pacific time Nov. 13, 2009, Winner announced Nov. 14, 2009.

Week Three: Best Dialogue Contest - submit a terrific dialogue between two or more characters (750 word limit). Prize: Plot & Structure, by James Scott Bell. Contest opens Nov. 15, 2009, Deadline 11:59 pm Pacific time Nov. 20, 2009, Winner announced Nov. 21, 2009.

Week Four: Best Novel Pitch - submit your pitch and see if it's an attention-getter! (300 word limit). Prize: Writing the Breakout Novel, by Donald Maass and $20.00 USD cash prize! Contest opens Nov. 22, 2009 Deadline 11:59 pm Pacific time Nov. 27, 2009, Winner announced Nov. 28, 2009.

What a nice thing you're doing here!  It looks like it might add a bit of fun to the work AND motivate
the writers.  Thanks for posting this.

Feel free to repost. The title of the contest should be Editor Jennifer's November Novelists Contest. It's geared toward people participating in Nano, but Nano doesn't want me to use their name in the title of the contest.

I can't wait to see what people submit!
