As opposed to books which discuss character and plot, etc.

More along the lines of word choice, description and creating effects through punctuation, etc.

Hi Honest,

If you post your work on one of these message boards you will immediately get most of the helpful critique you would have to spend hours searching for in a dozen books!

Dare I also recommend 'The Elements of Style' by Strunk & White. A little book with lots of simple writing tips to follow, and a standard for much that followed.
