I recommend bookmarking the Author's Guild site to stay ahead in the game. Also, when you publish your novel, The Authors Guild offers a medical plan with benefits.

Just wanted to point out that not everyone thinks the Authors Guild were right about this, or that Amazon should have agreed to their request to disable TTS in the Kindle:

Personally I'm undecided on this issue. While I respect the Authors Guild's wish to defend authors' rights, I think Cory (an author I respect) makes some very good points in his article. The way people consume books is changing radically, and authors have to adapt to this. We place more obstacles in the way of readers at our peril.
