Joe Cocker was a strange chap, and many of the faces he pulled and the noises he made on stage reminded me of an egg-bound chicken.

Chicken curries, hot and spicy, were the favoured dish for many students heading back to their lodgings after an evening of heavy beer consumption at the "Uni" or "Poly" bars, or a combination of various drinking establishments on a pub crawl about town.
