"Stuff and nonsense," was his only comment when confronted with evidence that he had committed the murder.

Murder is the term the courts sometimes use to describe the perfectly justified but illegal extermination of human vermin.

Vermin would over run the world if Mother Nature failed to send in a larger or more able creature to dine on them from time to time. But humans encroaching on the hunters, (wolves and coyotes come to mind) seems to be giving the vermin the upper hand in some locales.

Festival of the Roses is a wonder to see. But if you happen to be allergic to roses, I suggest you find some other entertainment.

Cheques are supposedly being phased out by my bank, which explains why they recently sent me a new chequebook.

It could be I'm on their dinosaur list of recalcitrant old buggers whom they hope will die out before it becomes a real issue ;-)

Spendthrift millionaires and banking institutions have gained considerably from government hand-outs in the last four years, which has not had a trickle down effect.

Winter keeps sticking her big toe into the shifting temperate, back and forth weather of my world and then deciding she's not quite ready for our warmth.
