A greeting of modest proportions
« on: January 10, 2009, 05:14:37 PM »
Good day to all of you fine folks! I have been a writer for a little while now, and as such, I thought it would be a delightful thing to look for a writing circle. What I found was so much better; this wonderful looking website.

I do hope I shall find a place here, and would love to talk with all of you, as well as get to know you, later on. For now, have a perfect day all of you ^^

HI x-Ror-x and welcome to MWC. I'm sure you will find it a fun and informative place to be. We are a pretty
friendly bunch.  ;) I am sure you will fit right in.

Have a look around the boards and, when you feel comfortable, please jump in.  :)

Here's the formal bit:

We don't have many rules here on MWC, but would appreciate it if you took a few moments to check out our etiquette guidelines by clicking on the link below:

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.0

Please take a look around, you’ll find the stickies at the top of the boards hold general guidelines about posting in the different areas.
Maybe enter a couple of the challenges and generally have fun.

With regards to the Review My Work section, we do ask that you comment on a few pieces of work before posting your own. Don't be shy. It's a great way to get to know the other members and their work. (And it really helps when it comes time for your work to be reviewed.)

If you have any questions, or anything else you are unsure off, just ask - there is always someone willing to help.   Grin

The moderators are the ones with the blue stars.   :)

With such an unusual screen name, I'm going to take a chance and call you Ror since I'm not sure how to pronounce -x-.  ;)

Anyway, I'm glad you happened along and hope you like us well enought to stay.

What do you write?

For me, it's mostly fiction, most often of the fantasy sort. But I do venture into other areas from time to time.

See you around the board.

Smiles,

Yes, do call me Ror. I like to put the -x- just to jazz things up a tad.

It does look like a welcoming place, so I think I shall stick around ^^

As for what I write, I like all sorts of writing styles and genres within the fictional realm. I'm not too big on poetry, however xD I've always liked short stories, and I'm attempting a novel at the moment. As for genre...generally realistic drabble, edging on the fantasy and romance sides...

I've always sort of wanted to write a script of some sort, however, and I think I might give that a try sometime.

Thanks for the welcome, all of you,

Welcome, Kiss-Ror-Kiss.

Do not pass Go. Do not collect £200. Just go straight to the latest writing challenge at http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=18113.0.

Big cash prizes. Small cash prizes. Just for fun.  :)
