Legal stuff

My current non-fiction project will require a legal disclaimer and also some examples of official documents (i.e birth certificates and proerty deeds). Is it up to me to take advice on the disclaimer and pay for a solicitor to help me wirte it or will the publisher do this? Also, regarding the official documents, do I need to sort out copyright or will the publisher take care of this? I know that I could ask them but I don't want the appear green.
