Challenge 47 Winner!
« on: December 15, 2008, 02:54:50 PM »
The bar is now closed, and the winner emerges - slightly squiffy - from under a table ...

Congratulations to Xerika for his excellent BRIGADIER BUFFY AND THE DEMON DRINK!

Tag ... you're it.  ;D

I must also raise a glass to everyone else who participated in the challenge. Thank you all for taking part. Hope you had as much fun writing your entries as I had reading them.

Congratulation Xerika. Perhaps you can now tell us of the curious incident of the goat in the nighttime ...

Unfortunately, Brigadier 'Buffy' is unable to attend this awards ceremony in person as he is otherwise occupied this evening (probably with Mrs Dalrymple from Number 42). He has, however, asked me to accept this prestigious award on his behalf and to thank everyone who voted for his entry. He would particularly like to thank all those who didn't vote for him and only regrets that there weren't a few more of you as he wouldn't have to come up with the next challenge.

The Brigadier assures me that he will post a new challenge in the next couple of days (or so).

In response to Mark's query about the curious incident of the goat in the night-time, The Brigadier feels that a full explanation would be in poor taste given that 'Stumpy' Witherspoon is now no longer with us and hence unable to refute the allegation.

Last, but by no means least, many thanks to Ma and Flights for organising this.

Thanks to everyone for their congratulations. Much appreciated.  :)

The Brigadier is currently working hard to think up the next challenge, which I hope will be posted by the weekend. At the moment, I'm trying to dissuade him from 'Armoured Vehicles Through the Ages' and 'How to Start Wars for Fun and Profit'.

Mark, I really enjoyed your Fairy Story, which probably explains why I voted for it.  :)
