Things Overheard While Talking To Myself
Alan Alda

It's a book of speeches he's given, I just think he has a lot of interesting things to say.

The DSM IV

Sadly I haven't got a more current version, but this one serves its purpose quite well. I use it to verify things about the mental diseases I curse bless my characters with.  :D

"The Book of Pleasure" - Austin Osman Spare

Fantastic illustrations from a world class artist and a ground breaking insight into the workings of the unconscious mind.  Not an easy read as the author wasn't into plain speaking.

"Real Magic" - PEI Bonewits

The only author in this field with a degree in the subject from a proper university. Although I don't know for sure, I suspect this is an expansion of his degree thesis.  Interesting ideas explaining unusual events from a materialist standpoint, and the robust "switchboard" theory which survived the demise of the Russian research underpinning it's formulation.

Geen bloemen, wel bezoek (Meaning: No flowers, visitors welcome)
It's a Jewish book on death and grieving I bought shortly after my daughter Sarah died.
