XMAS Anthology is now available!!
« on: November 23, 2008, 02:14:43 PM »
After all the trials and tribulations, the Xmas anthology is finally complete. Our gratitude goes to Ma for putting everything together and to Louis for providing the artwork for the cover. You can view the book through our newly launched website:

www.salvatorepublishing.com

Expect to see the book on Amazon and other internet websites in about 6-8 weeks but for now it is available through Lulu. All proceeds from the book will go to either the Starlight Foundation or to Great Ormond Street, and if you have any questions, please ask me direct.

Finally, my apologies to those of you who submitted humorous biographies. Sadly, I had to personally edit out some of the jovial stuff simply because I am currently in talks with a number of companies with a view to gaining sponsorship and I must project a serious side to our business. Hope you understand

A big round of applause to Mairi and thanks to all those who contributed a story or two. I hope you all enjoy the book should you buy a copy.

Thanks

Guy

The site looks good!
Except... the visited links need some other colour as they won't show; they're the same colour as the background.

So... do you also plan on publishing non-fiction? And how about psychological fiction?
I got a bit confused about the genres - but that might be due to my not able able to concentrate properly right now. Been editing my bloody effing MS all day and can hardly bear to read another word right now.

Off to the bar again for another drink. Hope Bones still has some rum handy.  ;D

Hi Nelodra, thanks for your comments and please don't be confused. Salvatore Publishing isn't so much about 'what genre?' as about 'what author?'

We're here to help the people stuck in limbo, wondering what the hell to do with their manuscript after trawling round every agent and large publisher in town. You can self-publish of course, or you could choose to come to us and get some help. We are a fledgling business but we already have half a dozen main titles being prepared for publication next year. Plus of course we will be publishing a number of short story anthologies.

We will also consider non-fiction.

The website itself is in embryonic form and will be continually updated. However, the next major update is scheduled for Jan 2009.

Well, in that case, I might have a novel ready within a few months from now.
Just need to get that homeschooling book out of the way first. It's in Dutch, BTW (the homeschooling book), and some of my friends have already asked if I would consider writing an English version of it as well.

For now, I'll start by adding Salvatore Publishing to the links on my blog. That way, I'll always be able to find it back easily.

Excellent. I confess that no one at Salvatore speaks Dutch so we would have to take your word for it that it's good! lol

Sure, if you've got an English title, we'd love to see it.  :)

We certainly welcome non-fiction. We feel it's a losing game to specialise in one genre, or to make ourselves a niche publisher only. Aside from non-fiction collections we have coming out in 2009, SP is in the process of lining-up books by a sci-fi/fantasy author (John Chandler Adams); a children's author (Bruce Benedicktar) & a few horror authors, amongst others. So we're not limiting ourselves.  :)

LOL!
I don't need a publisher for the Dutch book, Orph. I've already got three publishers interested in that one, but I don't think either of them will be interested in publishing my English version, so I'll come to you as soon as I've got that one ready.

The English Chapter on Methods in Philosophies has been published as a series of nine articles at Brighthub recently, so you can have a preview already.
Here's the link to the first article, which links to the other eight.
http://www.brighthub.com/education/k-12/articles/11279.aspx

As for my novel: I plan on merging two stories ( The Queen of Hearts and Priest Cutie ) into one novel, and writing a sequel to that novel as well.
Obviously that will take a bit of work, and I'll need a good title as well.
(It's psychological fiction with a little bit of fantasy mixed in.)
