Hi, Idris and welcome to MWC.

Have a look around the boards and when you feel comfortable, dive in and enjoy.

There is a formal bit to deal with first, not much really.

We don't have many rules on here but please take the time to check out our forum etiquette guidelines:

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=7415.0

There are also 'stickies' at the top of each board, which should answer any questions you have about posting in the different areas.

In the Review My Work section, we do ask that you comment on a few pieces of work before posting your own. Don't be shy, everyone appreciates honest, worthwhile critique. It's a great way to get to know the other members as well and to get a feel for their work. By contributing to this board, it helps when you feel you are ready to post your work here.

Anything else you are unsure off, just ask - there is always someone willing to help.

The other Moderators are: Nick, Saturnine, Symphony, Carrie, PaulW, Don86usa, SpChick, and Andrew.

Welcome Idris,
I live just north of you in Ontario.  Glad to have a neighbour join frey.  I think you'll find a lot of great info here, with thoughtful reviews that offer a critical eye as well as a supportive word.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have,
Posty

Thanks you soooo much fire-fly.
I've checked out all the formalities prior to posting.  ;)
I do appreciate you sharing all the mods with me that's very important.
I can't wait to start reviewing peoples work and submitting some of my own.

Thanks again!

Warmest Regards,

I write YA adventure, fantasy, sci fi, and have recently made a few attempts are poetry.  What about yourself?

I don't know if you've published anything yet, but I recommend checking out some of the query letter threads here on MWC over the past couple of months - some very good stuff on a topic many of us find onerous.

Cheers,

Thanks for asking, I writer poetry, scifi, drama, and sometimes erotica  :o depends on what mood I'm in.
I'm publishing all my works on my site www.writerscbok.com, I'd like to be an internet star self published writer like Scott Sigler, http://www.scottsigler.com/
Technology and writing are my niches. I'll definitely check out some of your stuff on here and get around to submitting some of my own soon.

Regards,

Hi Idris,
Thanks for the interest.
I'm writing a sequel to Without Reproach. But I'm involved in promotion which is heavy on time, so it's slow going. I wrote the novel as a mystery, but the press hi jacked it and called it a 'steamy novel' (http://www.euroweeklynews.com/news/5952.html). I don't care what its classed as. Just glad of any media coverage.

Anthony,

This is awesome!  I'm so very excited for you,... So what's it take to get an autographed copy?   :D
I could only imagine what it would take to explain this one to your grandchildren.
Also I was wondering what your habits are for writing?
Reason I ask is that I'm putting together a best practices document, a tips and tricks for getting things done and ready for publishing and you appear to be the correct person to ask.
That is only if you don't mind.

Kind Regards,

Thanks for asking.

I am working on a few poems, two childrens books, and an adult fiction romance called "Mine". Another adult fiction romace called " Waltzing with a Water Fairie"

I have posted a couple poems in the Poetry workshop.

One called " White Snake Empty "  and  " Uncaged Rage "  those are my newest poems.

Hope to see some of yours.

Best of luck!
