I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue
« on: April 26, 2008, 04:12:49 AM »
This short posting is just my humble tribute here to a great man, Humphry Lyttelton, whose  has been a great influence ! His radio games were an inspiration and a huge laugh. Thanks for the music too Humph. He died last friday.

One heartfelt and very simple "Oh, Bugger!" seems rather appropriate.

I went to a recording in Wolverhampon earlier this year, what a great bloke. And poor Samantha. x

And who could possibly forget the wonderful game of 'Mornington Crescent'? I still marvel at Barry's incredible Kensall Green to Great Portland Street move when he used the rarely seen and potentially dangerous double-Stovold with backtwist manoeuvre. Absolutely amazing!

Linda, I envy you so much that you went to see a recording. Please tell me whether the lovely Samantha really exists (or maybe I don't want to know if she doesn't as I've been madly in love with her for years.)

By the way, for anyone (probably most people) who don't know what the hell we're on about, here's another link to some audio clips from the late and very great Humph, who proved that the good don't always die young: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/clue/.

Humph was once asked about Samantha. He said she's real, but Colin Sell is fictional.

Sadly, when I went to see the show, Samantha was held up on the way, licking the nuts of a large Neopolitan in Wolverhampton's latin quarter.
