Recently finished Throne of Jade by Naomi Novik
About halfway through Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence.

Both fantasy, and yet it was kind of whiplash going from one to the other.

Just read Fame [Vol 1] by Trista Wilde. Wasn't sure about it, but gave it a go and am glad I did.

Zombies threaten Cardiff during the Dragon Singer competition. Sort of The Knight's Tale with mythical creatures and rock music. :o

Just finished The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. Slow start turned into a beautiful book I got through in 3 days, and that says a lot -- I hardly ever do that. And it was her debut novel (envy). Just goes to show the quality we have to shoot for if we want to get noticed.

I'm re-reading the Percy Jackson series. I started on The Titan's Curse today. I love the way Riordan writes and handles description. I never think, "Okay, get on with it." The imagery he conveys with just a couple of small paragraphs always gets me. I'm mainly re-reading them so that I can learn how to write like him, since he's my favorite author since JK Rowling. And also cause I haven't read the sequel series yet.

What a coincidence, DS.  I've just started that one, as well.  I'm just a chapter in, though.  did you see the movie?  I did, and liked it, and I'm trying not to compare.

Skylan, have you read, 'The Cuckoo's Calling', by Robert Galbraith...?

http://blogs.tribune.com.pk/story/18626/the-cuckoos-calling-good-under-robert-galbraith-excellent-under-jk-rowling/

Sorry, I haven't kept up with JK since Deathly Hallows came out. :/ Harry Potter is due to be re-read though. If I could just get my hands on some copies. I'm kind of poor at the moment. haha I'll definitely check Cuckoo once I get some money though.

Go to your library. Or see if they offer E-books or downloadable audio books, many do these days. There is no reason that you should not have something great to read any time you want.

Recht und Gerechtigkeit in Dürrenmatts Dramen und Prosa

won't read it cover to cover but it is something to dip into as I read his biography and some of his plays.
