I loved the book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, read it and passed it on to my mother who also enjoyed it very much.

The English Patient. Michael Ondaatje. Loved the film, but as is always the case, the book is even better. The prose is so beautiful and moving.

Just finished "The Eye of the World" (first book of the Wheel of Time series) by Robert Jordan. Took me four days. I've got the next six in my bookcase already, but don't have the heart to touch them yet... the hubby already threatened to burn my books if I didn't get back to Real Life and my Duties real soon.  ::)  ::)  ::)

(Of course I threatened to burn his model cars if he dared touch my books with even one finger, but still...  ;) )

He sure is.  ::)
But I can handle him. I know exactly how to threaten him - and he knows I'll live up to my promises.  ;D

Well enough to want to read more - although I have to admit to having just scanned (and even skipped) quite a few of the more descriptive parts. The writing could have been tighter, but even so... I like it.  :)

Yeah, that's one of my favourites. I am still reading one of Andrew's favourites.
