I'm reading short stories by Lu Xun, essays by Art Buchwald, humor columns by Celia Rivenbark. I recommend all of them very highly, and this experiment in multi-reading is kinda cool. I wouldn't do it with a novel, no way.

Michael, you really need to read more. Why not throw in King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard and the plays ofAnton Chekhov too?

I've read the Lu Xun three times before, so I can do reruns.  But good ole War & Peace remains on my "to do" list.  Maybe he should've used the original title, War -- What Is It Good For?

I'm reading Forest Gump, then I intend to read In Cold Blood because I just watched Capote and it made me want to read his book.

I seem to be working backwards.

First, I saw the movie The Help. Now I'm reading the screenplay. Getting to the book will happen some day, perhaps.

Depends on if I can stop from picking up more screenplays. Oh, when I'm waiting for the drawbridge to lower, or sitting in a waiting room, Sling Blade's script is what the Nook has for me.  :)
