Just finished the fifth (and last published) book of the Song of Fire and Ice series -- George RR Martin

Loved the ending, but I'm still waiting for some of the storylines to meld.

but didn't Dany's chapters (especially the last one) seem boring and nigh on endless.

Sorry, just got back to this topic. I agree, and in fact, most of the book felt stretched out. I only mentioned that the ending had a great twist. Martin knows how to write cliffhangers, but I think the first five books could have been compressed to a couple.

Now I've started the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov, classic science fiction.

Are you reading all the foundation books or just the original trilogy?

Other People's Money by Justin Cartwright

A totally different take on the banking crisis. I'm about 1/3 in and enjoying very much.

I've got the entire 7-book series. I've started the original trilogy, but I wonder if I should restart in chronological order instead. Any suggestions?

Just finished Jennifer Worth's "Shadows of the Workhouse." I'll have to put the next one on hold so I can finish the series!

I prefer it the way you're already doing it.

Also, for any interested parties, I'm currently reading the One Piece manga volumes 50-53.

I Am Pilgrim.

Interesting first few chapters, then hurtles into  back story,  flashbacks and lots of stuff so far away from the book's open, I wonder why it's all there.

And this is a thriller!
Work hard. Believe. Take a chance.
