Hi Ski,
Welcome to MWC, you've certainly arrived with a splash!
I admire you're positive attitude and bravery in taking this step. I hope you do well and succeed.

Here is a link you might find interesting to thriller writer Barry Eisler's website, specifically his 'For Writers' page. Here you will find links to articles on 'Writing the book', 'Getting published', and 'Marketing', all of which I imagine you will find useful.

Cheers,
Ken :)

Not true, I have not made a judgment yet, personal rule, never judge a member until their tenth post.

Hello there,

Well, I've just launched a new business so I'm hoping that some of your positive attitude is going to rub off on me this morning - I could do with it!

So ... it doesn't always work - all the positivity in the world won't persuade Hanshi to give me my black belt in karate (damn!), but I'll still keep trying. Sometimes, I think it's the process that's the most exciting thing in the world. Success is lovely, but only if you've thoroughly enjoyed the whole process ...

Love the attitude! Hope it works its magic.

Symphony I can see you with your black belt right now, positive attitude may not always work, but a negative one never fails :-)

take care

Ski

(am I close to my tenth post yet...the suspense is killing me :-) )

I'm trained to recognise scams - God knows, I've been to Nigeria enough times looking for the doctor who promised me $27484393939 if I sent him my life savings, so I know fraud when I see it! (see Ollie's post for further information).

I suggest, in order to avoid risking sending a cheque through the postal service, you just buy me a load of stuff off Ebay. Mr Ski Lift, you can start by bidding for Penelope Cruz's tights, which are currently going for 6000.

Now if it was Penelope Cruz going for 6 grand I would be in there like a shot - but just her tights - nah doesn't do it for me  ;D Glad to see bribery and corruption work just as well here as in the business world - since cash is rather tight I will offer you all a small % of my first years earnings - which if I have understood correctly - will be a large negative number  :D - so you will all need to send me money instead.

Thanks for the smiles - printed out all my free stuff from Nick this morning - so Nick whats the skinny - according to the material this should all be a piece of cake  :)

ciao

You mean Fruit Cake.

Yup, sad but true...even my Man United shirt was made in Nigeria...
You win this time, Mr Ollie!  ;D
