ichild bedtime story contest

Here's a link to a children's bedtime story competition: I am registered with this site so have also cut and paste some details:

You could see your story illustrated and featured on iChild, and you could win £50 of puppets & books.

As 2008 is the National Year of Reading, iChild is set to launch ‘Sleepy Snugly Stories’, a series of short bedtime stories that you can read to your little ones when they are tucked up in bed. The benefits of reading bedtime stories to your children to help improve literacy and to promote sleep are clear, and have been highlighted by Government recently.

We are looking for short bedtime stories written by both adults and children. The best 10 stories from adults and the best 10 from children, in the opinion of our judges, will be illustrated, and then featured on iChild in a new ‘Sleepy Snugly Stories’ section. Then we will let the iChild users decide which is the winner… the most downloaded (by unique users!) during Bedtime Reading Week (17th – 23rd March 2008) will win £50 of puppets and books. There will be one prize for adults and one for children.

Each story featured on iChild will credit the author, and we will also credit the school, nursery or group if you are a teacher, nursery carer or childminder.
