Listeners of writersfm.com.....How many of you listen?
« on: January 09, 2008, 02:15:24 PM »
    Hi ya'll!
I just e-mailed Karl Moore on Writersfm and received a response back.
I was wondering how many of you listen to writersfm.com, and furthermore,
How many of you benefit from listening? Even listening to selfdevradio and saxfm,
help me in so many ways. Sometimes I catch something that I missed before.
Let's all get together on this so that way we can remind Karl Moore that we appreciate what he is doing!

How many of you listen to writersfm.com? And, What way does it help you?     Please reply!

I listen, it's great but often I find that instead of getting on with my work I am listening to the interviews. It is very addictive.
keep up the good work Karl

I have relatively the same problem! That's when I switch to saxfm.
Does anyone else out there relate to this or wanna say something?

Good to see Karl's hard work on WritersFM and his other Internet radio stations (all unpaid, by the way) being acknowledged.

I'll make sure he sees this topic!

Yep I listen a lot. It makes sense. At the moment he's got Syd Field on who, if you don't know, is a guru for screenwriters. The market changes so quickly that no book can tell you everything you want to know. There he is though giving a current view of the industry and straight-forward advice. You just can't buy that.

Blimey.

I'm honoured you started this thread :)

I have plans to work on a series of new interviews as we start blasting into 2008.

Recently, I've been a little slow getting fresh interviews, but I will do my best as soon as I can.

Thanks for your support and reminding me of the importance of the station!

Karlos :)

That'll be Randy Ingermanson - it's an interesting interview, isn't it? I was intrigued by his 'Snowflake Method' of writing fiction. His main website is at http://www.ingermanson.com/ if you want to find out more about him.

Here's a free look see at Randy's snowflake method.

It's not as detailed as the whole method but it's helpful.

Hey everybody!   I just finished listening to Karl's interview with Bernard Cornwell. I gotta say, I found both Karl and Bernard, absolutely hilarious and very intriguing.

Bernard made an excellent point. He said, "Do not wait until inspiration comes, if you do, then you won't be a writer."
This made me stop what I was doing, (Taxes, obviously)  and start writing. I wrote whatever I could get my hands on. Then, came onto this forum to check for replies.....lol!

Anybody else heard the interview with Bernard Cornwell?

i connect to a weak hotspot from my house, it beats paying for the internet, but streaming video and sound break up often. have not tried listening in a while. self dev radio is good too.
