Oh, my. After reading this, I realize that *I* am in the in-laws.
Sad, but true.

Hahaha.  That's very funny.  Actually, dinner with the in-laws isn't bad.  Driving from Connecticut to New York on a Sunday with only two shopping days left until Christmas is truly terrifying.
I have a motto: when in doubt, go for the cheap laugh.

AAAAaaahhh!

I've slept like a log ... No tossing and turning ... No 3am story inspiration .... What am I going to write about for a flash fiction today?

Oh who cares ... Nobody's on the Internet over Christmas ...

I woke to what I thought was 'morning'..but when I looked at the clock it was just 3.30am, looking out the window there was the most enormous moon! :o(is this to do with Gyppo's solstice? ???)..
it really was almost as bright as day!
Then when I woke at 'getting up time' 7.45am...like Carrie, I just didn't wanna get up,so sneaked another 5 under the duvet ;D

... Monday and back to work urghhh!
... Wot no water??? = no shower, no coffee, no breakfast = BAD start to the day!

One of the advantages of being an expat is that nobody in the family (in the UK) expects a present or even a Christmas Card ... xmas shopping is behind me.

It's like a Harvest Moon. Huge!. I tried to get some halfway decent pictures of it.

And I am left pondering why didn't you try and get some 'fullway' decent pictures?

Good point.  It's a curious turn of phrase, because I was indeed trying for  decent pics.

Mind you, it turned out they were only 'halfway decent'.  (See 'Christmas Greeting' in coffee shop.)

My first thoughts:

Ugh, why did I drink both of those Monster's last night?  And what is that playing over the radio??

I think you'll need to describe the 'Monsters' before we can answer the question  ::)
Did you figure out the radio tune?

Yep, I'm a single sad old git, so I'll be around as well. (Though I have been invited to Linda's for dinner tomorrow)

Have a good what ever you celebrate day, and see you around..

a ride!"

Sorry, as in the 16 oz. Monster Energy Drinks.  And my radio alarm clock goes off my iPod, and since i don't put it on random, it plays the same songs when i wake up...But i'd left it playing on low all night.  Freaked me out, thought i slept too late and was late for work.  Had to convince myself the clock was right, haha!
