Win ANOTHER copy of WhiteSmoke!
« on: October 19, 2007, 07:10:41 AM »
As Karl has revealed elsewhere, our sponsors at WhiteSmoke were so pleased with the interest generated by our previous contest, they have donated another free copy of their writing software. They've even upped the ante - this version comes complete with translation into 18 languages and an enhanced dictionary feature.

We're giving away this fantastic software package to whoever creates post number 102,000 on the forum!

For more info about WhiteSmoke, please click on the link below:

http://www.whitesmoke.com/landing_flash/grammar2.html?d=4&a=0&r=1504

Or you can read my review of WhiteSmoke at the URL below:

Good luck, and get posting!

Nick   :)

Hey Cathy and Red_Barren, are you two here yet from that other WhiteSmoke thread?

I'm beside myself with regret for missing the post again!

I was at Barnes & Nobel and I bought Stephen King's On Writing. Which I should be reading right now but you guys are more fun at
the moment.

I love the cliché, beside myself.

I like to think of it literally because it makes me grin. ;D

See?

DGS - I bought Stephen King's book too - it's brilliant - really down to earth advice and does it in a way that doesn't 'grate'

Enjoy. :-*

Anyway, there's always the 103,000 (Or whatever the next one is. :-\)

I think the winner was Cathy, or Naturewalker or Red_Barren.

I'll expect excellent things from you, whoever you are.

Red_Barren, I actually forgot to look for a copy of WhiteSmoke at the bookstore. I'll win the next one...I will!

Nick or Karl will pronounce the winner - as before.

Haven't a clue who won - if it's me whooooeeeee - brill (but extremely odd seeing as I was trying to put the count up for you lot :-\) - if it's someone else.... >:(

The more I've looked up this Whitesmoke, the more I'm determined to win a copy so watch out DGS - don't let go of the chain mail yet. :P

No way! I'm going to wear it to the gym on Monday. ;)

So, I'll see you after someone bails me out of jail.

Right now, I'm going to tuck in my little guy.

I was just kidding about the gym. Sounded funny though and I may use that in a title someday

And the winner with post 102,000 is...

Cathy C - yes, it's the Godderator!

Here's a link to the winning post. It's a fair bet Cathy had no idea that this post would win her a copy of WhiteSmoke...

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=1512.msg108697#msg108697

Well done, Cathy! I'll be in touch shortly with details of how to access your prize.

As I won't be around much next week, I'm making an executive decision to postpone our final WhiteSmoke giveaway for post 105,000. Hopefully this will give the excitement a chance to build even more!

Nick  :)

P.S. If anyone want to double-check the results, it's quite easy. Deduct the target number from the number of the latest post (showing at the foot of the MWC homepage). Add 1 to this, and it will give you the ordinal number of the winning post. So if the target is 105,000 and the number of the current post is 105062, taking away the former from the latter is 62, add 1 = 63. The winning post is therefore the 63rd shown in the recent posts list (again, you can access this from the homepage). Unfortunately, this will only work if the ordinal number of the winning post is under 100, as this is the maximum number of recent posts that can be displayed.

Yea Cathy!

Wait! We have to wait until 105,000?
Nick, you're being a tease. ;) Hope you enjoy your week.

That'll keep the natives busy.

Congratulations Cathy! I couldn't think of a nicer to person to win it.

So tell me, what are you going to do with that sexy chain mail of yours now that you no longer need it for this contest? :D
