100,000 Up!
« on: October 10, 2007, 10:00:28 AM »
Today MWC has reached another landmark, with 100,000 messages posted here.

Special congratulations go to long-standing member Thatollie, whose post was number 100,000. As a matter of interest, here's a link to the post concerned:

http://www.mywriterscircle.com/index.php?topic=10781.msg105974#msg105974

OK, probably not the most stunning post ever, but I'm sure Ollie didn't know he was making history!

Thanks again to all our members for helping to make Mywriterscircle.com one of the top writing sites on the Internet!

I'd like to say a few words, this honour was not mine alone. We've all posted, all contributed to this wonderful site. I'd like to thank the moderators and Karl and everyone who works behind the scenes to keep this place going for us. This place rocks.
Now that I've got that out of my system, I have writing to do.

There are most definitely not 250 people online at any one time. I'd say average ten posters, three guests, and fifty search engine spiders.

Pray the century doesn't go truant. Servers and amnesty do not mix.

Super! Well done to MWC!

I really feel proud to be a part of this group when reaching such an important milestone.

Onwards to the next milestone, and how many books, poems, and plays will we have published and performed. I certainly hope you all fulfill your dreams and ambitions before then.  :D

Onwards and Upwards, Folks.

To be honest I was more impressed to hear that we have 5000 menbers.  Even though some of those will have signed up and never come again it's an impressive total.

Mind you, that's only an average of 20 posts each.  Some of you must be right slackers ;-)

My website is currently having a holiday, but will return like the $6,000,000 man.  Bigger, stronger, etc.

In the meantime, why not take pity on a starving author and visit my book sales page at http://stores.lulu.com/gyppo1

Jeremy,

Not 250 online all the time... but that was our record :)

Great stuff and Karl looks gorgeous...I'll get my coat!

Seriously, what a brilliant achievement and a great testament to the generosity of spirit shown.

I wonder when you'll have your 200,000th!

best wishes

Way to go MWC!

I always knew this was a home from home - seems like all our 'relatives' know it now too. ;)

Karl - we couldn't have done it without you. :-*

Cool!
Congratulations to all the MWC team and members!!! Its great to be part of this ... I consider MWC as my second, well..., first writing family. Alot of you played a big role in birthing my first two books. (Ok, books are our babies right?) ;)
Though I don´t post here regularly, it was such a great help to have someplace to go and get some valuable advice. Or just hung around "birds of a feather" when my MS seemed dry or I had writers block. Kind of like a watering hole after a long trek in the desert -even the title of my first book was polled here! You could say MWC helped me choose a name for my first baby  :D Thanks alot Guys!

All the best to everyone. Keep writing, the world is waiting for your books!

Great job Nick! Congratulations! :D

Just got back from your blog after reading the good news. Here's wishing you much continued success!

This truly is a nurturing place for the aspiring, inspired and yes, even the uninspired writers. If you're lacking inspiration, there are loads of ideas offered here. I've been inspired by MWC to try my hand writing in genres I had never even considered before! The information at My Writer's Circle is invaluable to anyone who is interested in taking their writing to another level. There are links to tools, writing exercises, proper usage of grammar and the list goes on! MWC is also fun! I've already made several friends here.

It's a privilege to be here and be a part of this community. I must say that this is the friendliest and most helpful group of any I've seen on-line. I am a relative newbie but have felt at home here from the moment I signed up.

Thanks to all of you for your contributions, especially the ones that nurture us as people and help us grow as writers. It is truly a pleasure to read what everyone brings to the circle.

Thank you Nick for this wonderful site and to the moderators for their generous support and valuable time in running it.

Good show Mates!

Have a bountiful day!

Just clicked Karl's stat link and noticed I've leapfrogged Carrie on the posting list. Not bad for someone 8 inches shorter than her.

EDIT: Do you realise that our posting about this milestone has shoehorned us 11 posts [so far] towards the next one?
Don't answer that because you do now.

Whoo hoo!  Leapfrog too - you never know what will happen on MWC.

So, onwards and upwards as Gyppo so rightly says.

I love this place.

Sorry I've not been in so much recently, but I am not going away... oh no, not going away... mwah ha haaaaa......
